More information about BUDAPEST CARD

The Budapest Card offers new, exciting programmes for culture lovers in addition to free admission to museums. At the Museum of Fine Arts, you can take a guided tour in English followed by a concert at a 50% reduced price. The tour starts at 3.00 pm every Saturday. From April, the card offers free entrance to the Óbuda Museum and an exhibition on WW1 entitled “A new world was born” in the Castle Garden Bazaar.

If you would like to take a trip into the world of gastronomy, don’t hesitate to choose from the wide selection of restaurants where holders of a Budapest Card receive discounts. In addition, you can participate in two very unique programmes. Szamos Café offers a one-hour-long chocolate tour for adventurers next to the Parliament building. Following the tour (sprinkled with tastings), you can create your own chocolate bar to take home with the help of a master confectioner. The card provides a 10% discount. Those who opt for the Interactive Exhibition on the History of Pálinka, which also involves a tasting, receive a 30% discount. After getting to know the history and production processes for premium fruit brandies, take some time to enjoy the tasting room and the bar.

The new Budapest Card selection has something to offer for families and groups as well. The card ensures 25% off for shows of the Budapest Circus, and a 20% discount for the festival events of the Városmajor Open-Air Theatre. The Superfly Air Sports Park will take you back to your childhood for a little while. You can try the cheerful activities with a 10% discount, but if you’d rather exercise your brain, we have another offer: you can buy tickets to MindQuest escape rooms for 20% less with a Budapest Card.

Amazing spring weather calls for outdoor programmes. Eurama offers a 10% discount on their exciting city tours with a Budapest Card. The Sisi tour and the Mikveh tour, organized by the Castle Garden Bazaar, can be attended at a 50% discount. These English tours present the life of the beloved Hungarian queen and the Jewish Mikveh from the 13th century on the Buda side. You can also hop on a bike and discover Budapest on two wheels. Use your Budapest Card to rent your bikes at Cityrama and receive a 50% discount.

If you would like to leave the city centre behind, and your visit falls on the first Saturday of the month, then order your Budapest Card quickly. This way, you can take the bus leaving from the car park at Bálna every 40 minutes, starting from 13.30, for free. The bus takes you to Budafok, where you can discover the cellar system and taste the best Hungarian wines and sparkling wines.

Last but not least, you’ll enjoy a special offer for those opting for Budapest Card Plus. In addition to a wide selection of free and discount offers, this city card ensures you free admission to the Budapest Castle Hill Funicular Railway.

Don’t forget! There’s a 10% discount until 30 April! All you need to do is provide the coupon code SPRING2019.
