Looking around Budapest you can find many beautiful colourful ceramic tiles made of pyrogranite. It was invented by and made in the famous Zsolnay ceramics factory from the 1880’s. Fired at high temperature, this durable material remains acid and frost-resistant making it suitable for use as roof tiles, indoor and outdoor decorative ceramics.
