A real dream com true for beer lovers, a whole week dedicated to craft beer in the heart of Budapest from the 20th to 27th of May, 2018! Taste as many beers as you wish for a fixed price and meet the brewers from all participating breweries in person at the BPBW, the first Beer Week in Budapest! Like many great things, the idea of the festival was born in a beer bar under the influence of new wave brewing, international festivals, inspiring brewers and of course a decent amount of good beer. The goal was simple and straightforward from the beginning: although during the past couple of years the wind of craft has touched the Hungarian beer scene and great breweries has been risen from the ground, it is clear that we have to leap that next step to connect our culture into the international circles of craft beer. The organiser's goal is not only to invite you to the tasting sessions of BPBW but to persuade you staying here for a longer time: during the whole week they are organizing tap takeovers, brewery visits, 'meet the brewer' events and concerts. The craft beer scene is growing fast here in Budapest. They chose the most impressive craft beer bars, restaurants, artisan coffee houses, street food and live music locations to join as part of BPBW venues to help you discovering the city and its own culture. In other words, they want to show you the best of our beloved city can offer through the looking glass of our favourite places. The list of participating sites is constantly expanding, so stay tuned for the full list of goodness: https://bpbw.hu/venues/ Tickets ranging from 1 day (€63), 2 days (€106) and weekly (€149), we suggest you to buy in advance as tickets are limited while stocks last!!! Buy your tickets here: https://bpbw.hu/tickets/ What's included in a daily ticket? A 6 hours long tasting session (from 2pm to 8pm) with unlimited beer tasting included in the price. The concept for both Friday and Saturday tasting sessions is like 2 taps for all breweries, and 1 keg for 1 tap per session. When a keg is done, the beer is gone for that session. This means you can taste 2 beers from a brewery per session, and there will be a completely different beer list on Friday and Saturday. A tasting glass. The tasting quantity is 1dl for each beer. Try to taste as much beers as possible. If you loose or break your tasting glass you can buy another at our official merch desk for 2.000 HUF. The core events will obviously be followed by huge afterparties including the wildest bands and performers from Hungary’s diverse music scene. Pure rock’n’roll, live shows, DJs, and local craft beer from 8pm at the same location as the tasting sessions – Dürer Kert, one of the best live music venues in the heart of City Park.
