Hit the Castle for some late summer brews!

Buda Castle the ultimate jewel of Budapest opens up again to its’ premium beer audience. This year The Beer Festival of Budapest returns to the most impressive venue of the city after skipping one year. The mission is to strengethen and celebrate premium, quality beer consumption and improve the prestige of the BEER itself on glorious historical site.
The festival presents the unique beer brands and exceptional hungarian breweries. It will bring the nationally well known major beer brands and the best imported, domestic and craft beers.

Two venues host the The Beer Festival in the Buda Castle: famous of its’ beautiful and decorative floodlights Lions Court and the former location of castle markets: Hunyadi court. Lions Court, the 4000 m2 courtyard is surrounded by the Hungarian National Gallery, the Budapest Historical Museum and the National Széchenyi Library. It is accessible by car until Palota road behind the Castle, from the National Széchenyi Library via elevator or from St. George Square through the Hunyadi courtyard by foot. The Hunyadi court gave place to the castle market in the Zsigmond era. The courtyard can be reached from Szent György square by a short walk or from Clark Ádám Square by foot or the cable car or by elevator from the Palota road direction.

A breathtaking selection of more than 250 types of unique beers are available, guests can taste a great selection of the best domestic, craft and imported beers. This is your event if you are into craft beer, IPA, draughts and you can not only taste the locals sortiments but the international beer houses are also present such as Asahi, Paulaner, Carlsberg, Staropramen and also a wide selection of Belgian beers are also available. Local famous bands and singers will accompany the summertime fest. Don’t forget, drink responsibly!

How to get there? From Széll Kálmán Square until Dísz tér stop with bus 16, 16A, 116, from Deák Ferenc Square until Dísz tér stop with bus 16. You can also reach Buda castle from Tabán and Attila Street on foot or by the elevator, and the funicular from Clark Ádám Square.
