Must see Street Art and Murals in Budapest – a review by Sticks & Spoons

When two foodies get together is already a win-win chemistry, but when they are both passionate to travel is definitely a match made in the universe. Like many other couples Jane (aka Sticks) and Fredrik (aka Spoons) met via their job as both of them worked in the same restaurant; Fredrik as Chef de Cuisine and Jane as a waitress. Soon they discovered their mutual passion for food resulting in some nice dinner dates with really good food and drinks. Long story short, their first trip together was to Berlin, however by accident Jane booked the flight on a wrong date; instead of the 27th December to the 27th of March! The perfect start for future travels together. 🙂 Since then they have been inseparable, even when Jane decided to live and study in San Francisco for six months, Fredrik didn’t hesitate to go and visit Jane in USA for a week midterm.

Food & travels have been an essential part of Sticks & Spoons’ lives together. One journey lead to another; new ideas, planning for greater things to come and a decision to start their site as a documentation over their mission and „Causae Vitae” – Reason to Live!

We were amazed by their detailed article on Budapest’s underground art scene and how precisely they discovered and followed this hidden part of the city. Join the two Foodies and Bon Vivants on their journey in the downtown!

Also we deeply recommend you to read their summary on how to spend 3 days in Budapest, as they’ve included some real insider’s experiences, such as dining at Onyx, the 2-Michelin star restaurant or eating tomahawk at the Prime Steakhouse, but visiting Europe’s Largest Interactive Flipper Exhibition, the Flipper Museum and of course their discovery on the urban mural art scene makes even us, locals re-visit and be a tourist again in our beloved city!

Sticks & Spoons, we can only repeat your motto and wish you to „Live the Life You Love and Love the Life You Live!” and thank you for giving us permission to feature your posts!
