Grab a conductor wand on the Vienna Days in Budapest!

The virtual conductor is one of the most popular interactive installations of the Vienna Music House, which has been experienced by three million people so far. This is now open to the Hungarian public, between 2-4 July 2019. The mobile version of the conductor moves to the City Hall Park (Városháza Park) within the framework of the ‘Vienna Days in Budapest’.

Thanks to the modern technology, the citizens and visitors of Budapest can now feel themselves in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna, where they can conduct the Vienna Philharmonic. If you are brave enough you will get the chance to follow the footsteps of some of the world’s most famous conductors in an installation which takes place on the Városháza Park (City Hall Park). Beginner artists have nothing else to do only grabbing the conductor’s wand and selecting the piece of music. Whether it is The Blue Danube Waltz, the Little Night Music, or the Radetzky March, the musicians listen to the movements of their newest conductor and play according to the instructions. The wider the movements are, the louder the band is. And if you turn to strings or winds, they will strengthen it. The musicians, of course, also react to the mistakes, stand upright, shout, place the starting conductor – of course this is virtual. The perfect experience is provided by a precision sound system, a sharp rear wall projector and a digital touch screen music stand.

Place is not found.

Opening hours of the virtual conductor:
