CARNIVAL HORNED DOUGHNUTS WEEK at Édes Mackó

“FREE” CHIMNEY CAKE VARIATIONS AND CHIMNEY CAKE DAYS – February 6-8.

If it’s the beginning of February, then the first weekend is all about „mentes” kürtőskalács, when we spend the entire weekend making kürtőskalács from gluten-, lactose-, egg- and milk-free ingredients!

But since it’s carnival season, we also bake gluten- and milk-free kürtőskalács by popular demand!

During carnival season, making kürtőskalács is a very popular tradition passed down from family to family in Székelyföld. We bring this atmosphere to the carnival weekends at the Édes Mackó kürtőskalács confectionery, which many may already know from the Kürtőskalács Festival!

This weekend, we will also be preparing special flavors in gluten-, milk-, and egg-free versions: – in addition to the classic whipped cream and vanilla cream, there will be:

  • pistachio cream
  • apricot cream
  • chocolate
  • raspberry cream
