Turkish and modern walls – RUDAS BATH

Turkish and modern walls

Let’s face the sky and soak in the warm water of the rooftop pool.

Rudas bath invites you to a unique experience: imagine that you are standing on the balcony watching the busy city with ships on the Danube, behind you there is the Gellért hill and you just feel the harmony.

The nearly 500-year-old walls hide many secrets and stories: the center piece of the bath today, the Turkish bath was built during the 16th century in the period of the Turkish occupation. Below the 10 m diameter dome, sustained by 8 pillars, there is an octagonal pool. The swimming pool, operating as a therapeutic swimming facility and with a sauna, was built in 1896.

The thermal bath has been visited from 1936 on exclusively by men.

These habits have been changed in the past few years: Tuesdays are women only days.

The wellness area provides the most exciting bath experience: different saunas, hot and icy pools.

Guests can choose among many types of traditional and premium massages and use beauty care services and cosmetic products which are based on thermal water.

Rudas is famous for its restaurant with international and retought Hungarian menu.

In the drinking hall you can taste the water of the springs Hungária, Attila and Juventus that can be consumed as  a drinking cure with healing methods.

One of the highly popular programme is the night bathing on Saturdays, a special relaxing activity.

Surprise yourself and your beloved ones with an unforgettable bath experience.
