The Nyugati Square is an important meeting point in Budapest. The most famous building of the square is the Nyugati (Western) Railway Station, one of the busiest railway stations of the town. This beautiful building made of steel, glass and concrete was designed by the French architect Gustave Eiffel – who is most famous for the Eiffel Tower in Paris, – and was built from 1873 to 1877.
