The Central Bank of Hungary’s Money Museum and Visitor Center is a prime example of why rethinking the meaning of the word ‘museum’ is a worthwhile endeavour.

The Money Museum is not just a spectacular display of old coins and monetary history – the experience offered by the exhibition is much more comprehensive and multi-faceted.

Visitors are taken on a carefully constructed journey of discovery around the world of money, accompanied by interactive games and spectacular visual displays. The different tools, platforms, publications, and events are all built around a common message.

Due to this uniqueness the Money Museum will become both a national bastion of public education on finance and a prominent member of the international museum world.

• Friday: 9:00-17:00 (School groups 9:00-14:00, individual visitors: 14:00-17:00)
• Saturday and Sunday: 10:00-18:00
