HUNGARIAN ACACIA

Soil tolerance, rapid growth and versatile utilization of acacia made it one of the most popular trees of Hungary.

Originally acacia trees were planted in order to bind quicksand and to reduce deflationary damage.

Over the last few decades, acacia trees have had a major role in the fight against desertification and droughts, which tendencies have been increasing due to the climate change.

The finest honey is made from acacia flowers, which have inspired numerous Hungarian poets and writers and are a characteristic element of the Hungarian landscape.
