Redbreast Wilson was a compelling figure in Hungary’s small by all the more active blues scene, mainly because he played a little-known variant of the blues: the hypnotically danceable and repetitive sound of the North Mississippi hill country. In 2019, after two records, he switched from blues to country, releasing his first album in this genre, Tradin’ Your Love, in 2022, followed in 2023 by his single New Mexico Sun. Accompanying him on the House of Music Open-Air Stage on 20 July will be his band Mad Dog Margaritas, with guest Tamás Szabó joining in on harmonica. Click here for more information
