Madame Tussauds Budapest welcomes all ages this Easter with special family programs and the debut of new figures. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steve Jobs, Michael Jackson, and E.T. have all joined the attraction, bringing the total number of celebrities close to sixty. Madame Tussauds Budapest has thoroughly prepared for the holiday season. Children can participate in an Easter Bunny Hunt, while adults have the chance to win prizes with the Wheel of Fortune. But that’s not all. The exhibition welcomes several new wax figures. These are celebrities who, each in their own way, changed the world. Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, inventor, and entrepreneur, transformed the way we live through a series of technological innovations. Arnold Schwarzenegger has arrived in Budapest, and visitors may encounter his figure in a room evoking the atmosphere of the Danube Promenade, as the icon himself has visited Budapest several times. For Easter, the world’s favorite extraterrestrial, E.T., has also landed. Few people know that the main character of Steven Spielberg’s 1982 film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial was inspired by real people: poet Carl Sandburg, scientist Albert Einstein, and writer Ernest Hemingway all served as inspiration. At the exhibition, everyone can take a closer look and decide which features they recognize in the friendly alien. E.T. and Michael Jackson share a unique connection — the iconic singer contributed to one of the film’s songs and even narrated an audiobook based on the story. Good news for Jackson’s many Hungarian fans: from now on, they can visit the King of Pop anytime at Dorottya Street. Madame Tussauds Budapest received hundreds of letters, comments, and phone calls requesting a permanent wax figure of “Jacko.” He can now be seen in the music hall of the exhibit alongside Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Freddie Mercury.
